You must complete a paper time card for your first pay period (upon hire) and for your last pay period (upon separation).
You must use holiday time on a holiday, even in the event that you are sick. The only exception is if you are off the day before and after a holiday and have no available accrued time, in which case you are not eligible to be paid for, or to accrue the holiday.
You may use the vacation and/or sick accrual you earn on the 1st of the month in the pay period that includes it, although in TAS it does not show in your accrual totals until the following pay period.
Accrued time must be used in minimum units of one hour, with the exception of NP-2 employees who can use minimum units of one-half hour. For personal leave only, classified employees with a balance of less than 1 hour may use their remaining accrued time in a minimum quarter-hour unit. Time reported beyond the specified minimum units may be used in quarter-hour intervals.
