TAS Workflow Roles
- Supervisor: This is the individual who is responsible for approving an employee’s electronic timecard.
- A Supervisor MUST be identified for each employee who completes a biweekly timecard in TAS.
- AltSupervisor: This is the individual who is responsible for approving an employee’s electronic timecard in the absence of the Supervisor.
- It is recommended (but not mandatory) that departments identify an AltSupervisor for each employee who completes a biweekly timecard in TAS.
- AltSupervisor2: This is the individual who is responsible for approving an employee’s electronic timecard in the absence of both the Supervisor and AltSupervisor.
- Departments may (at their discretion) identify an AltSupervisor2 for each employee who completes a biweekly timecard in TAS.
- Reviewer: This is the individual who is responsible for verifying an employee’s electronic timecard prior to approval by a Supervisor, AltSupervisor or AltSupervisor2.
- Departments may (at their discretion) identify a Reviewer for each employee who completes a biweekly timecard in TAS.
- For departments who do not identify a “Reviewer”, it is assumed that the Supervisor (AltSupervisor or AltSupervisor2) will also be responsible for reviewing an employee’s timecard.
- AltReviewer: This is the individual who is responsible for verifying an employee’s electronic timecard in the absence of the Reviewer prior to approval by a Supervisor, AltSupervisor or AltSupervisor2.
- Departments may (at their discretion) identify an AltReviewer for each employee who completes a biweekly timecard in TAS.
Any individual who has the authority to approve an employee’s timecard must appear on the “Signature Authorization Form” administered by the Accounts Payable Department.
